We had all three GT's to a wedding at Bribie Island on Saturday night.  They did look impressive driving down the Bruce Highway in a convoy.  We have a couple of photos of the violet GT and are hoping to have some full front on photos soon.

Just a quick update on the wild violet GT.  It's finished and has already been to its' first wedding on Sunday.  The car looks amazing and when it comes back from hire we will update the photos on the blog.  The reflective orange GT stripe was definately the right choice as it sets off the paint work beautifully.  We should have some new photos on the blog by Friday of this week so keep an eye out.

Well I know everyone has been waiting for pictures of the Wild Violet GT and we have just had the new carpet and seats delivered so have a couple of pictures.  The seats are just sitting in place at the moment as we are fitting new seat belts and a few new bits and pieces before they can be bolted into place but we couldn't wait to show everyone just how good they will look.  The car also needs it's GT stripe on the sides but you can see from these photos that it is going to look great when all put back together.  We have to thank Muscle Car Interiors for the fabulous seats and new carpet.  He really does do an amazing job and we can highly recommend him.  Will post more photos when it is all complete.

Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year.  As you probably have noticed the wild violet XY is not complete yet.  The good news is that the new carpet and seats are getting fitted within the next week.  We will then be waiting on the new door trims to be manufactured which we have been told will be done by middle to late February.  We have had a sneak peak at the seats and could not be happier with the work that has been done.  We are so thankful to have found this amazing upholsterer and the bonus is that he is local.  As soon as the seats are fitted we will post some photos and then hopefully all that will be left to do is fit the door trims and the new reflective orange GT stripe.

We picked the wild violet car up last week.  The paint looks pretty good and the mechanic has finished the new engine.  We still have to add the GT stripes and have had trouble deciding on the colour but will probably go with reflective orange. We had the car booked into the upholsterer last week so after getting it home from the painter we stripped the seats out and took them to the upholsterer at West Ipswich.  Talk about unprofessional we couldn't believe it when after mucking us around for about 20 mins he decided the job was too hard to do and proceeded to refund our deposit.  It would be nice to be able to name the company so everyone would know not to use them but unfortunately we can't. He probably did us a favour because we have been lucky enough to find an excellent upholsterer specialising in early Fords and hope to have the car finished before Christmas. 

We have the first photos of our Orange XY GT after the engine and some of the other parts have been removed.  It's hard to look at the car in this condition but the end result will be worth it.  Unfortunately our mechanic has had some more bad news for us and it looks like this car is not only getting a new paint job but a new engine as well.  Fingers crossed we hope to have this car completed including a new white interior by  the middle of October.  Will post some more pics of the progress soon.

Some great news!!  Our new website is complete and I think everyone who visited the old site will agree this new website is a big improvement on the old site.  We have to give a special thanks to our very talented son who built this website for us.  Not only did he build the website but also redesigned the logo which is also a big improvement on the old one.  We are excited to be able to have new galleries to showcase our photos and especially the wedding gallery which we hope to fill with many new photos of happy brides and grooms who have hired our cars for their special day.  We hope you will take the time to look over the new website and if you use our cars for your special day we would love to be able to add your photo to our gallery.  Our website address is:  http://www.ultimateclassics.com.au/
